Geognostic surveys aimed at characterizing the subsoil from a geological-geotechnical point of view. They are performed by rotary drilling, dry or with fluid circulation, with core drill equipped with a cutting crown (possibly diamond-coated) driven by suitable hydraulic machines. To avoid closing the hole it may be necessary to install a cladding pipe. The method allows the continuous recovery of the land crossed and eventually the collection of undisturbed samples. It is also possible to perform some tests for the physical-mechanical characterization of the ground inside the survey hole, as well as to install devices and equipment for the detection of data and information for monitoring purposes.
